About Us

The Lighthouse Foundation was set up with the intention of providing a place to turn for the friends and family of drug and alcohol misusers. Finding out that a loved one, be it a friend, a parent, a brother, a sister, a son or daughter is misusing drugs or alcohol can be devastating and confusing. We aim to help by offering a number of services aimed at providing affected families with emotional and practical support.

The Project is mainly funded by the Big Lottery, The Robertson Trust, Loyds TSB Foundation, the Moffat Trust, The Rank Foundation and the Tudor Trust. The Foundation also relies on donations from the public and businesses and its own fundraising endeavours which are well supported by the local community.
