'The Lighthouse Foundation exists in order to alleviate the suffering and distress caused by drugs on family members of illegal drugs and substance mis-users'

The Lighthouse Foundation is an Ayrshire wide charity who work with families affected by drug and

alcohol misuse.  We provide direct support to families who are finding it difficult to cope with a

family members addiction.   The Foundation was established in 2001 to fill a gap in service

provision in Ayrshire and it's focus remains the same.....helping families and children.  We

provide advice and practical support so that families can regain control of their lives.  Our services

are open to anyone who is experiencing issues relating to someone else's substance misuse.

We strongly believe families affected by someone else's addiction need support in their own right

and for this reason families are the focus of our organisation.  All of our services have evolved to

meet the needs of the families we work with.  The services we offer are available free to families

who live in Ayrshire.

member that has been using drugs for a long time.  You may have feelings of loss, anger, shame

and disappointment, have a family member misusing drugs can have a devastating affect on you
